I work on our manufacturing team supporting the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes, introducing new products, and supporting manufacturing productions. What I like best about Akron is our capability to adapt quickly and tackle challenges collaboratively and quickly. The team can really assemble similar to the transformers. At Akron we actually make the fuel that supports the development of critical medicine to treat illness that was not even considered treatable a decade ago. We are already at the cusp of the future of medicine as seen with the recent FDA approvals of biologics and we will continue to fuel this advancement in medicine.

Majority of my days at Akron are spent either in the lab executing experiments or analyzing data generated from our experiments. I specifically enjoy performing and optimizing purifications on the chromatography equipment. My favorite part of the Akron team is our sense of community. We are a smaller team that collaborates daily both inter and interdepartmentally. We are comprised of hardworking individuals who take pride in our work. Everyone will go the extra mile to ensure quality work is achieved in a timely manner. Every day that we walk through the door at Akron, we are powering the future of medicine. Biotechnology is an evolving industry that is able to improve patients’ lives and outcomes in ways that were not possible previously.
